Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ClipWright (the "Service"), a browser-based, AI-assisted video editor operated by Afonso Neves ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

ClipWright lets you upload, edit, and export video clips in your browser, and, where you connect a third-party account, publish edited videos directly to that platform on your behalf, at your direction.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the video and other content you upload to ClipWright ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service to you — including, if you choose to connect a third-party platform account (such as YouTube or TikTok), to publish Your Content to that platform on your explicit instruction.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights necessary to upload, edit, and publish it, including any music, footage, or likeness it contains.

4. Connected platform accounts

If you connect a third-party account (e.g., YouTube, TikTok) to ClipWright, you authorize us to publish videos to that account only when you initiate a publish action. We do not post on your behalf without your explicit action for each publish. You can disconnect a platform account at any time from within the Service, which revokes our access to it.

Your use of any connected platform remains subject to that platform's own terms of service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to upload, edit, or publish content that is illegal, infringes another person's rights, or violates the terms of any platform you connect ClipWright to.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription, billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
